Hi Folks .. this is an experimental section where we develop routes for your Delectation .. we will eventually gather these into one area on the website with some more bells and whistles .. but for now a series of words and pictures will do ..
The Route is 26 miles long and best undertaken on a road bike or a hybrid as it’s all tarmac. We went in an anti-clockwise direction, starting from Ulverston.
There are no really big hills .. a bit of a drag out of Newton and a steady rise to the top of Birkrigg.
We stopped for an excellent piece of fruitcake and a cuppa coffee at Gleaston Water Mill.
Fantastic views today when Chris and I rode around it
